Our Legitimate Interest Toolkit: everything you need to revive your database
Here at Ticketsolve we’re on a mission to help you clean up your database, run campaigns that get results and make sure your audience are hearing from you when and how they want to...
How, we hear you ask? Using our favourite handy tool: Legitimate Interest, which is basically a flexible (and lawful) basis for communicating with your customers, according to GDPR.
Whether you’ve tried to set Legitimate Interest up for your organisation but were confused about the rules and regs, have had it on your to-do list for a while, or have no idea what we’re even talking about, we’ve got you covered.
Read on to find everything you need to get the ball rolling 👇
Our interest in Legitimate Interest was piqued last year, when Indigo Ltd kindly shared the results of their “Missing Audiences Ireland” survey, designed to help venues understand the shape of their post-Covid audience. Following the results of this, Kaity Raines, CEO at Indigo, Heather Maitland from Theatre Forum, and Ticketsolve (that's us!), ran a series of workshops, with the aim of helping venue marketing teams to optimise their audience comms.
In a guest blog, Katy Raines takes us through the key questions raised by the survey, plus the big reveal of our workshops: just how helpful Legitimate Interest could be for so many organisations. She also shares her brilliant templates to help you to better understand your database - plus top suggestions if you’re still not sure whether Legitimate Interest would be helpful for you.
Ready to start your Legitimate Interest journey? Super: check out our intro blog to discover the key steps for getting everything set up for your organisation. Plus, we’ve created some handy videos covering the steps to setting up Legitimate Interest as a whole, and within Ticketsolve. If you’d like more information on the latter, we also have a detailed article on Zendesk to help you get set up!
Want to see how other organisations have successfully used Legitimate Interest to grow their database and sign ups? Discover two case studies provided by Mermaid Arts Centre in Co. Wicklow, and An Táin Arts Centre in Co. Louth. They’ve kindly shared the processes they followed during setup, plus the impressive results they achieved!
You can also hear from both organisations in Episode 18 of our podcast: Anna Walsh, Director of Theatre Forum, Aoife Demel from Mermaid Arts Centre, Marie Claire Cowley, from An Táin Arts and Ticketsolve’s Aoileann Ní Riain discuss how legitimate interest can be used to re-engage with customers.
