Ticketsolve at TPC - The Team’s Session Picks

Written by Gerard Swift | Mar 11, 2025 11:54:17 AM

March is well under way which can only mean one thing for the sector- it’s almost time for Ticketing Professionals Conference 2025! Team Ticketsolve are raring to go and ready to head to Manchester’s Midland Hotel. We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the event once again and can’t wait to for two packed days of learning, discussions, and networking.

You’ll find us in the Exhibition Hall at stand 28 where Lucy (Head of Sales and Marketing), Conor (Head of Operations), Emma (Operations Manager), Darren (Onboarding and Data Migration Manager) and Gerard (Customer Support and Training Specialist) will be on hand to chat all things Ticketsolve, tech and trends!

With an incredible lineup of sessions across both days, narrowing down our must-sees was no easy task, but we’ve done our best! Read on to discover the sessions Team Ticketsolve is most looking forward to at TPC 2025 👇

Lucy’s Pick | Ticketing, A Love Language | Caspian Turner

Here at Ticketsolve, we’re passionate about ensuring that the customer journey removes barriers rather than creating them, ensuring all users can navigate the purchase journey with confidence. We’re fascinated to consider this through the lense of language, and hear more about Caspian’s suggestions to eliminate jargon, prioritise customer-friendly communication, and ensure the customer journey is as seamless and transparent as possible.

Conor’s Pick | Psychology of Queuing: 6 Simple Rules to Improve Customer Experience | Jesper Essendrop

Our team frequently manage large on-sales and are aware of how important it is to manage the customer experience when it comes to queuing. It’ll be great to hear more about the psychology behind online queues and how small changes can transform a frustrating wait into a more positive experience. Conor’s looking forward to taking Jesper’s insights back to the team!

Emma’s Pick | I Fell into It | Daniel Crow and Cate Gordon

Inspired by her own session on Reflective Leadership , in which she’s touching on subjects such as  recruitment, team mentorship and career progression, Emma is keen to explore why so many people fall into ticketing rather than actively pursuing it as a career. As someone who’s passionate about supporting and developing teams, she’s also  interested in hearing different perspectives on structured training and career pathways in ticketing, as well as gathering ideas on how the industry can better attract and nurture future talent.

Darren’s Pick | Redesign Your Organisation with Effective Systems | Alex Grieves

Darren is really keen to hear how Newcastle Theatre Royal struck a balance between adopting new technology and ensuring staff felt confident and supported throughout the process. He’s particularly interested in the impact of a successful onboardings process, and how these can set organisations, their teams, and their audiences up for success.

Gerard's Pick | Pay What You Decide at the Belfast Book Festival | Gail Jones and Maurane Ramon

As someone deeply involved in customer support and training, Gerard is particularly interested in hearing more about this example of pay-what-you-can pricing in action - something that Ticketsolve supported Belfast Book Festival in offering. We’re fascinated to hear more about the insights and results from their pilot - understanding the challenges and successes of implementing such a scheme will help us better support other organisations considering similar pricing models.
