A new museum for London: Ticketsolve welcomes London Museum to community as part of transformative project
We are excited to welcome London Museum to the Ticketsolve Community, working with them as a strategic partner as they take the next steps towards opening in their new home in 2026. This iconic museum showcases the unique vibrancy of the city and seeks to inspire passion for the city in both Londoners and visitors alike.
A fixture on London’s cultural scene since its first opening in 1976, London Museum is moving house! It has now closed its doors at its London Wall site in preparation for its relocation to a new home at Smithfield, where it will occupy the iconic Victorian General Market and 1960s Poultry Market buildings. This move will place the museum directly in the middle of a historic, creative neighbourhood with excellent transport links, plenty of space for new galleries, exhibitions and events, and, of course, the ability to welcome lots more visitors!
London Museum is taking a digital first approach to ticketing - which is where we come in! Ticketsolve seamlessly integrates with London Museum’s website, providing customers with a frictionless booking journey. The museum’s team can effortlessly track conversions and gather data, while our responsive, customizable, and accessible user experience ensures that customers enjoy the smoothest, most intuitive ticketing process possible.
We’ll also support the museum in reaching its goals in fundraising, memberships, customer relationship management, marketing, and more. After all, that’s our aim here at Ticketsolve—working with you to deliver projects and achieve new goals, whatever they may be.
“At London Museum, our vision is to create a world class museum that melds the historic with the modern and inspires a passion for London and its people in both residents and visitors. Ticketsolve’s expertise and innovative solutions are key in helping us achieve this vision, ensuring that our visitors have the best possible experience from the moment they decide to visit us.” – Trish Thomas, Head of Digital Innovation at London Museum
London Museum has partnered closely with our expert onboardings team, notably the exceptional Darren, our Onboarding and Data Migration Manager. Leveraging our 17 years of experience and hundreds of successful onboardings, Darren and his team curated a bespoke onboarding process tailored to the museum’s specific needs. Every detail was meticulously covered, from designing their front-end page to integrating with their key tools and platforms. Our goal was to ensure a seamless transition from their previous ticketing platform to Ticketsolve, complete with comprehensive team training and full data migration.
“Our collaboration with Ticketsolve has been very well supported, thanks to their comprehensive onboarding process. Darren and his team have guided us through every step, from a personalised consultation to the final data migration. Their collaborative approach ensured that we had full visibility into the project’s progress, making the transition to our new system as efficient as possible. We’ve had good feedback on the thorough training sessions, Ticketsolve has equipped our teams with the knowledge and skills to make the most of the system, ensuring we are fully prepared to welcome visitors at Docklands and our new home at Smithfield in the future.” – Trish Thomas, Head of Digital Innovation at London Museum
London Museums Docklands is open and FREE to all, Monday – Sunday, 10am – 5pm, and we highly encourage you to visit! The new space in Smithfield will explore London’s past, alongside shared experiences of the city, with innovative temporary exhibitions, open collection stores, and creative learning spaces. The museum’s collection – which you can also explore online – explores the ever-changing story of London and its people, from 450,000 BC to today.
Ticketsolve is thrilled to be part of this iconic, once-in-a-generation project, supporting London Museum in its mission to share London's stories with a wider audience than ever before. We are proud to contribute our industry-leading expertise and innovative solutions to help the museum achieve its ambitious goals.
